During the months of October, November, and December 2006, an alarming number of honey bee colonies began to die along the East Coast of the United States. West Coast beekeepers (especially those located in California) are also reporting unprecedented losses. This phenomenon without recognizable underlying causes has been termed “Fall Dwindle Disease”, and threatens the pollination industry and production of commercial honey in the United States. This has become a highly significant yet poorly understood problem for beekeepers.  For the full 15 page report please CLICK HERE (pdf files).
